SOLIPSISM - Maltreatment and manipulation turn inward.

How far away have we now blindly drifted? Where are the waves that once encouraged us, caressed us and made us feel safe? Can we recognize anything now, after being so long within our bliss of purpose?
How much time has passed since we saw behind our own veil? How much time do we think we have left before it falls? We collect our treasures, but we need more, more and more. Our eyes and mind are with Pride, and for everything we do not see, there is another thing we’ve seen and misunderstand. The tide ebbs and flows at the behest of society, but it is also its own master, for society itself could not still the water. Pressed into a shape beyond hate, they numbly carry out their duty of birthing lives in order to reclaim spirits. We begin to turn toward offered reassurance to offset the growing anxiety, and every comforting word obtained bears with it an extortion, however small, of identity. Our blood is drained and our once-blushing skin becomes a canvas for society’s preferred color schema. Remorselessly, they pick up their brushes.
This painting was a warning sign that referred to something I had given up long ago by transporting my memory to moments of willingness on my part to sanction my own unfair treatment. The sheer monochromaticity of the world around me now left me solace only in the sky, that magnificent non-thing of untouchable, incorruptible beauty… It’s there, if one isn’t too busy to look up.
